I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
